Obstruction Inspection specified in NFPA 25

Your automatic fire sprinkler system has materials that can age or wear out over time. Piping, valves, and sprinkler heads can become obstructed by foreign materials or corrode to the point where they might leak or fail under pressure. Failure of these systems can cause catastrophic consequences.

NFPA 25 is an adopted code that requires an internal inspection of piping to be conducted every five years or when conditions indicate the need for an internal inspection.

Our trained staff can provide a five-year obstruction inspection upon request. During the five-year inspection Bass-United will check for obstructions, including rust, slime or MIC (Microbiologically Influenced Corrosion), and corrosion, including pipe wall thickness, fittings and fasteners. Samples are taken and a water chemical analysis is performed by an independent lab, where a report will be provided to note any corrective action needed to bring your system to its optimum performance.
